Terms of service

The rules for using TripBaddie, including plans, payments and refunds.

Effective October 9, 2026 · Last updated October 9, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Opsmith LLC, a Michigan limited liability company doing business as TripBaddie ("TripBaddie," "we," "us"). They cover tripbaddie.com, our apps, emails, shared plan pages, PDFs, and every related feature (the "Service").

By creating an account, generating a plan, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy a plan. You may add other travelers, including children, to a trip you plan, and you confirm you have the right to share their information with us for that purpose.

Changes. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when we post them on this page, and the "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. By continuing to use TripBaddie after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

2. Accounts and guest use

Guests. You can generate a plan without an account. Guest access is tied to your browser session, so clearing cookies or switching devices can lose an unsaved plan. A guest plan counts toward the same free allowance an account would get.

Accounts. Keep your sign-in details private and your email current. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at hello@tripbaddie.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

Free plan limits. Each person gets one free plan. A guest gets one free plan per browser. An account's free plan requires a verified email address, and addresses from disposable email services don't qualify. To prevent abuse, we also limit how many free plans can be created from one network over time and use an automated check to block bots. Creating extra accounts, clearing cookies, or other workarounds to get more free plans isn't allowed, and we may limit or close accounts that do.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account anytime from Settings. Deleting it ends access to saved trips and any unused credits or remaining annual time, with no refund.

3. What the Service does, and its limits

TripBaddie builds travel plans using artificial intelligence and third-party data. Plans are suggestions to help you plan. They are not bookings, reservations, or guarantees.

Estimates. On free plans, opening hours, prices, travel times, and costs are estimates drawn from AI and other sources. Places are matched to real listings, but hours and availability are not re-checked.

Re-checked stops. On paid plans, we re-check each stop against current listing data for the planned day and time. That check reflects what the data source reported when we ran it. Venues can still change hours, close, sell out, or change prices afterward.

Costs. All costs are estimates. Actual prices are set by the provider at the time you book.

Entry requirements. Visa, passport, and entry information is general guidance from third-party sources, not legal or immigration advice. Always confirm with the official government source and your carrier before you travel.

Your judgment. You're responsible for confirming details, choosing what to book, and deciding what's safe and suitable for you and your group, including accessibility, health, weather, and local laws. Travel involves risks we don't control.

4. Plans and pricing

PlanPriceCovers
Free$0One plan per person, view-only sharing, 6 changes per trip
Per trip$19 (one time)Paid features for one trip, including PDF export and emailing your plan
Annual$59 per year, renews automaticallyPaid features for every trip you plan during the term, including PDF export and emailing your plan, plus annual-only features

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes. The current feature list for each plan is on our pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.

What "one trip" means. A per-trip purchase gives you one trip credit. The credit is used when a new plan is generated and applies only to that trip, including changes and re-generations of that same trip. Starting a plan for a different destination or different dates uses a new credit.

Fair use. Annual plans include unlimited plans for personal travel planning, subject to reasonable limits that protect the Service for everyone. If use looks automated, commercial, or far beyond personal travel, we may slow or limit it and will contact you first when we can.

Personal use. Plans are for your own trips and the people traveling with you. Reselling plans or using the Service to plan trips for paying clients requires a separate written agreement.

Price and feature changes. We may change prices or features at any time. A price change for an annual plan applies at your next renewal, and the renewal reminder email we send before each renewal shows the amount you will be charged.

5. Payments, renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your full card number. You authorize us to charge your payment method for purchases and annual renewals.

Annual auto-renewal. Annual plans renew automatically each year at the then-current price until you cancel. We'll email you a reminder at least 7 days before each renewal with the date, the amount, and how to cancel.

Cancelling. Cancel anytime from Settings → Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid features stay active until the end of the term you've already paid for.

All sales are final. No refunds. Paid features unlock immediately, and plan generation starts as soon as you buy. Because of that, all purchases, including per-trip purchases, annual plans, and renewals, are non-refundable, including for unused credits, unused time, or cancellation mid-term. You confirm this at checkout.

Where the law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived. If you live in the EU or UK, you agree at checkout that paid features begin immediately and that you lose your right to withdraw once they do.

Failed generation. If a plan fails to generate after a credit or your free plan was used, we return that credit or free plan automatically. That is our only remedy for a failed generation, and it is not a refund.

Chargebacks. Please contact us at hello@tripbaddie.com before disputing a charge. If you file a chargeback for a valid purchase, we may suspend paid features on your account while it's resolved.

Taxes. Prices exclude any applicable sales or other taxes, which we'll add where required.

6. Bookings with other companies, and affiliate links

We don't sell travel. Book buttons take you to other companies' websites, such as hotels, airlines, tour operators, restaurants, and booking sites. Any booking you make is between you and that company, under its terms, prices, and cancellation policies. We aren't a travel agent and aren't responsible for their services, availability, pricing, or refunds.

Bookings manager. If you mark an item as booked or save a confirmation number, that's a note for your own planning. It doesn't confirm, change, or cancel anything with the provider.

Affiliate disclosure. Some links are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions don't change the price you pay. We may earn different amounts from different companies, and a plan's suggestions are not paid placements.

Third-party content. Maps, photos, reviews, hours, and entry information come partly from third parties and remain subject to their terms.

7. Sharing, collaboration, and publishing

Share links. Anyone with a share link can see that plan, and may forward it. Don't put anything in a shared plan you wouldn't want others to see. You can turn a share link off anytime. When someone opens your shared plan, we may email you that it was opened, without naming them.

Collaborators. If you give someone edit access, they can change the trip, and their changes count as yours for these Terms. You can remove their access anytime.

Recap pages. After a trip, we may create a recap card and a recap page without costs, names, or traveler details. The recap page stays private until you share it, and you can make it private again at any time.

Publishing your trip. If you choose "Publish my trip," you agree we may publish a version of it as a sample itinerary on TripBaddie. We remove names, ages, group details, notes, bookings, and costs first, and we review it before it goes live. You can withdraw it anytime, and we'll take it down within a reasonable time.

Your content. You own what you put into the Service, such as trip details, notes, and traveler preferences. You give us a license to host, process, and display it to run the Service for you and the people you share with, and, only if you publish a trip, to show that published version publicly. You confirm you have the right to share any content you add, including information about the people traveling with you.

8. Emails

We send emails you need to use the Service, such as sign-in links, receipts, renewal reminders, and account notices. These can't be turned off while you have an account.

We also send trip emails, such as booking reminders, countdown emails before a trip, recap emails after a trip, and notices when someone opens your shared plan. Some include offers to upgrade. You can turn each type off in Settings → Email preferences or with the unsubscribe link in the email.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Get around plan limits or paywalls, including by making extra accounts or sharing paid access outside your travel group
  • Scrape, copy at scale, or automate access to the Service, or use it to train or build a competing product
  • Probe, overload, or interfere with the Service's security or other users' data
  • Upload or share anything unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights
  • Add personal information about other people without the right to do so
  • Use share links, collaboration, or published trips to send spam or misleading content

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, TripBaddie name and logo, sample itineraries, and the format of our plans, belongs to Opsmith LLC. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service and your plans under these Terms.

Branded PDFs and plans. You may print, save, and share your own plans and PDFs with anyone. PDFs, shared pages, and plan emails carry TripBaddie branding, which you agree not to remove.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Privacy, disclaimers, and limits of liability

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including information about the people you add to a trip.

Disclaimer. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that plans, hours, prices, entry information, or links will be accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted.

Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Opsmith LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost bookings, missed travel, travel costs, or losses caused by third-party providers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.

Indemnity. You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims caused by your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination, disputes, and general terms

Ending access. You can stop using the Service or delete your account anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create risk for others, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end your access without cause, or discontinue a paid plan, we'll refund the unused portion of an annual plan and any unused trip credits. That is the one exception to the no-refund rule.

Governing law. Michigan law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Disputes. Before filing any claim, email hello@tripbaddie.com with a description and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any dispute that isn't resolved goes to the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you and we consent to those courts. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead if it qualifies.

General. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. If a part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. You can't transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization. Sections that by their nature should survive, including payments, content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, and disputes, survive termination.
